A hutch in the bedroom? Why not? It's a great use of space for displaying vintage or breakable items, a few books, a stuffed friend or artwork. You could also use small bins on the shelves for additional storage. Oeuf's Shaker-inspired furniture is decidedly modern, but we love how the rich walnut and birch woods they use here add warmth and integrity.
This is actually two separate pieces - a 4-drawer dresser which can be used as a changing table and an optional hutch 3-shelf hutch. Not surprisingly, the cost ($1,100 for the dresser, $480 for the hutch, either available in birch or walnut with white lacquer) makes them an investment piece, but there's nothing childish about these pieces and they could be used for decades.

If this dresser is anything like the original Oeuf dresser then I highly doubt that it's going to last for "decades."
I own the original Oeuf dresser and the quality is something comparable to what you would get from Ikea ... but without the Ikea pricing. The dresser I have is primarily made of MDF. The bottom of each drawer is a thin piece of MDF held in place by a couple of brackets at the side of each drawer. We only have clothes inside the drawers and the bottom of each drawer is already sagging because the design doesn't sustain much weight. We saw the same sagging problem in a display Oeuf dresser that we saw at a baby store ... So I think it's more of a materials/design issue. I emailed Oeuf about this and there response was basically to put less/lighter stuff in the drawers.
In retrospect we would have been much better off investing the money that we spent on an Oeuf crib, dresser, and library in another brand. Or we could have just bought Ikea ... gotten comparable quality ... and saved a ton of money.
Although Oeuf has hit the nail on the head in my mind with design, I unfortnately have heard nothing but unfortunate negatives about the construction which dhalverx has pointed out in his/her post above. The term "Ikea quality" has been mentioned in passing between Moms I know, and yet the price is not reflective of the construction of the piece. I would probably save that money and invest in something else, or do an Ikea hack and create a similar look for less.
Um, I'd really like to know where to get the poster that's hanging over the crib.
has anyone had any luck with oeuf customer service. my classic dresser is absolutely falling apart. please let me know as i would really like to have it replaced!
