The new editor of Lucky, Brandon Holley, has lots of plans for the magazine, according to a recent piece in the New York Times. Of the most interest to Apartment Therapy readers? A mention of a new specialty publication that she plans to launch this year focused on HOME, called Lucky Home. We can imagine the shopping-based...
...concept as working well for the home decor market, ala Domino's more shopping focused pages. It will all depend on the editors, of course - we'll be keeping out eye out for more info. According to the article, a second spinoff is also in the works, Lucky Kids.

Wtf?!? Just bring back Domino! It WAS the home version of Lucky!
I don't care if it's called Domino or Lucky Homes, but I waaaaant some home magazine like that back again!
agree with rlmesq. domino was inspired by lucky. that was the whole conceit.
I don't understand this strange bout of folding magazines and rebranding them going on at Conde Nast. Lucky Homes = Domino. Lucky Kids = Cookie.
It's like a freakin' soap opera at Conde Nast, where characters die and then a new character shows up and looks exactly like the dead guy and is some unknown secret twin.
Weirdness. Just give us Domino back, editors @ Lucky mag. I don't care what you call it. Pretty please?

P.S. Thanks for the info, AT
I'm excited to know this is in the works, but really....just bring back Domino. That was the best!
ditto on domino comments... please fill the void it left in my life when it closed, sigh.
What Greige said.
Yeah--what Greige said.
Try not to screw this one up.
Amen, everyone. I have been trying to find something to fill the gaping hole Domino left. Here's hoping it doesn't suck.
i spoke to an editor at Lucky yesterday and she said that Lucky Kids will come first and not to look for Lucky Home until 2012.
Oh, Domino!!!!
Conde Nast 'substituted' Architectural Digest for my Domino subscription. I renewed it about 1 month before they discontinued publishing it.
Maybe Stephen Drucker -- formerly House Beautiful -- could land this editor in chief role?
Conde Nast 'substituted' Lucky for my Domino subscription. Architectural Digest would have been a step up.
DOMINO!!!
agreed, dcrosetta. i got glamour instead of domino. wtf.
So they get rid of domino and put a little section in Lucky that's the same thing...bologna...just get Domino back...I'm STILL pissed that the mag folded.
Sooo... Domino and Cookie are coming back? Now if Martha would only bring back Blueprint...
I'm with Melissa. Blueprint danced circles around Domino. I miss it terribly, and can only find consolation in the expensive British Living Etc.
i am looking forward to seeing what they come up with.
Yes, it's like Domino coming back! I loved that mag, and I love the title "Domino" more than "Lucky Home" I have to say... but oh well, as long as it's coming back!
