We saw an add for the new Ralph Lauren Metallic paint collection and we got a little thrill in our down there place for how sexy it looks.
We love a glossy wall, and leave it to Mr. Lipshitz to get it so right. There is a step-by-step video on the website to help achieve the perfect coat. We know his paints are pricey, but we must say that in our experience, they are worth it (especially if you are looking at a smallish room that doesn't need ten gallons to complete.) You will need multiple coats, and maybe some specific RL tools though, so be ready to splurge.

My two cents worth: (first of all... I MISS LA!!!!!! former
scenic artist... moved to Tucson... may be moving back.
HIRE ME!)
I have a small home with "character" in Tucson. A tiny hallway screamed for a special treatment. Brocade wallpaper was first. Ran out. Stripped the wallpaper.
Found RL metallics at Homo Depot and the greenish shade was the perfect finish. It fairly glows. One caveat: I think
ANY medium nap roller would work. Ralph Lauren roller indeed.
HA! It is a tad tricky to work with. Plan on at least two coats. Three if you've got leftover paint. It's easy.
I bought Ralph Lauren Metallic, but wonder about the safety, because it does have lead in it. It cleans up with soap and water, so I wonder if its OK to use in a bedroom. Any help is deeply appreciated.
Thank You
Used Golden Candlestick on a wall in my guest room with the other three walls a rich bittersweet chocolate. Created a cozy, warm feel here and application was easy. Used a reg. medium nap roller as well. As for the lead factor in the paint that another poster was concerned about, don't use it then. Simple.
