If you were the kid who never wanted to leave the carnival, a new hotel in Paris is for you. The Water Wheel Hotel is a rotating ferris wheel, but with rooms instead of carriages.

Designed by SCAU Architectes, the hotel is only about a quarter of the size of the London Eye, but about 5 meters taller than the average building in Paris. The rooms each have a sleeping pod and a bathroom, and will book for around €300 a night.

It is meant to be only in place for 6 months at most. "The idea is to put it up temporarily on the banks of rivers in big cities, preferably opposite exceptional monuments like the Eiffel Tower or Big Ben,” says architect Maxime Barbier.
