Math geeks, this one's for you. University of Washington mathematicians discovered a new irregular pentagon that "tiles the plane," or is repeatable without any other shapes.

Most tile you'll find is square or triangular or hexagonal—all regular shapes that tile the plane. A regular pentagon can't do that without another shape introduced. This is only the 15th irregular pentagon that can do this, and the first discovered in the last 30 years.
