The digital alert of "You've Got Mail" is just never going to be able to compete with the excitement generated finding a full-color kids magazine arriving on your actual doorstep. Each issue of Ingredient includes all kinds of food related goodies such as how to churn your own butter, what foods Christopher Columbus discovered, and when is National Cream Puff day? You are going to want to mark that in your calendar. Oh, and of course it's full of kid-friendly, fun recipes too.
Ingredient magazine is especially for the 6 – 12 year olds in your life, interested in cooking, as well as the science, history, and cultural significance of food. It aims to inform, educate and delight readers with a philosophy of moderation (which includes cookies! Yay!). One-year subscription to Ingredient Magazine is $35.

This looks like a great magazine! It would have been perfect for my niece a couple years ago, but now that she's almost 13, I guess it'll be too young for her. What a shame!
6 issues @ $5.50= $33
One year subscription is $35?
That's not the way subscriptions usually work, is it? I'll probably subscribe anyway for my budding chef, but I feel a little anxious about their business model.
Columbus did not "discover" any foods any more than he discovered America, as far as I know.
Yet another "I wish my friends had kids" or "I wish my brother was still little" situation.
so great! i would've loved this as a kid. can't wait til my nephew's old enough so i can buy it for him!
