For those who do a bit of backpacking or camping (or even toting around the sticky kid or two), we ran across a new product from Coleman this week while we were out stocking up on our own supplies. They're called Bio Wipes and we're officially giving them two thumbs up! Here's why:

Although we haven't road tested them in the wild, we have taken them with us to the dog park for a trial run. We have a dog who always gets more mud on him (even when it hasn't rained in weeks) by the time we leave than not. It's a fun mix of spit, dirt, water and other assorted awesome things picked up in the area.

Usually we keep a pack of travel baby wipes, but knowing they always have to be thrown away (and not always being near a trash can) always made us a little grumpy. We opened the pack of Bio Wipes and the cloth was almost twice the size of your average baby wipe. It was far larger than our hand and was enough to clean our entire dog! We're pretty sure if it could get the grime off him it would do wonders for a quick "shower" when hiking or a clean up while you're out scouting about in the wilderness.

Each wipe dissolves completely in 21 days and is a fun eco-friendly product that's far easier than dragging along a roll of scratchy eco-friendly toilet paper. It will take up very little space in your pack and can pull double duty for all sorts of cleaning activities.
