Name: Jaymin (5) Jettison (2)
Location: Olathe, KS
With baby number 3's arrival fast approaching I got busy turning my oldest son's room into a room for 2. I didn't have a lot of time, money or desire to change everything about the room but I feel like the changes I did make really gave it a fresh look for this new chapter in my boys' (and our!) lives.
Most of the other rooms in my house have pretty muted colors so I love using major color in my kids' rooms! Jaymin's room was already a bright aqua blue that I loved so I stuck with that and the theme he already had going and really just reorganized, fixed things that had broken and finished projects I had started.
When I first did his room I was definitely inspired by Pottery Barn teen catalogs but couldn't afford most of what I wanted. I can almost always find a way to MAKE what I can't afford. By the time this room was done I felt like it had lost the pre-made catalog look and had taken on a more unique and homemade look - which is much more my style! And the most important thing - my boys love it! :)
Thanks Chelsea! Readers, see more of this room's transformation on SKC at Home.
