Soy inks are pretty common in the green printing world but they may becoming to a laser printer near you, thanks to PRC technologies.

Traditional cartridges use petroleum-based toner powder which adds up to more than 100 million cartridges per year and 50,000 tons of toner powder.

Print Recovery Concepts (PRC) has completed months of testing and reports that the print quality and number of pages per cartridge of the Soy based toner matches that of traditional toner.

The toner cartridges will be available soon at retailers such as OfficeDepot.
