You might have noticed a new name in our posts today. We were bound for a system upgrade, so we're adding a couple new components to the Unplggd setup this week. First to join our team is someone whom we think has an inherent ability to bridge home technological needs with aesthetic home decor requirements. Today, Unplggd is excited to announce and welcome Peter Treadway to the team.

Peter Treadway is a LA based designer who loves to build everything he owns. He holds degrees from RISD and Art Center College of Design and even spent a year in Kansas in an Automotive Restoration program. He has a background in fashion, robotics, housewares, product design, and many other things including lutherie. Basically, he wishes he could be left alone in a room (not necessarily padded) with every conceivable tool and a pot o' spaghetti. He currently is self employed as a consultant for product design and teaches fashion at FIDM.

Some of his accomplishments include: Fixing his simplehuman trashcan, speaking at the Sustainable Mobility Summit in Pasadena the past two years, working with Hanson Robotics, and some other things which can't be mentioned until the whereabouts of certain high level government "specialists" are defined. Hobbies include archery (target), surfing (online), and audio equipment (building/modding)...but not all at once.

Check out Peter's first post about one beauty of a turntable here.
