Information accessories may be a dime a dozen these days, but that doesn't mean one can't keep trying to one up last year's edition. In comes Western Digital's latest My Passport Studio hard drives - featuring a customizable e-ink display (the same as you'll find on Amazon's Kindle) that stays on even when the drive doesn't have juice running through it.

The My Passport Studio hard drives have been known to be known to be an attractive bunch, and we're happy that Western Digital keeps the innovation comin', even if it's just adding a readable display on the outside of the hard drive.

The My Passport Studio line is specifically preformatted for Macs only (but you can easily run them on a PC after a reformat). You'll probably need to also reinstall the WD e-ink software to customize the outside display, however.

The hard drives are available in sizes of 320GB ($150) to 640GB ($200) and can be purchased now over at WesternDigital.com.
