For some reason, fall, not summer, increases our fascination with treehouses. Did you ever cozy up in a treehouse and smell the crisp fall air? Imagine not just cozying, but dining in this treehouse of treehouses in New Zealand...
Granted this treehouse, which is built on a redwood tree, using poplar wood, was contructed as a marketing stunt by Yellow Pages New Zealand - with the idea that the Yellow Pages can help you get anything done. It seems that it lived its life for a while as a Yellow Pages restaurant, but now they're looking for a permanent restaurant to come in and take over. It's unclear where that process stands. This whole thing will probably raise some major environmental red flags for some of you.
We spotted this story on CubeMe. For more information about the Yellow Treehouse, check out the official website here.
We'd love to hear your treehouse memories...

That is so pretty!
This space is available for private parties at the moment. (I've recently returned to the Stated after two years in NZ.)
What an interesting concept! That it's a Yellow Pages ploy! But at least it's really beautiful. I wish I could move to New Zealand to open the restaurant I've been dreaming of.

"Yellow Pages restaurant" ? Is that a NZ thing?
Also, why should this "raise environmental red flags" ? It doesn't look like the structure is harming the tree.
Being in a tree house in the fall is great, but don't expect to go to New Zealand right now and have that be the case. It's spring there now! :P
