In case you missed it, all the iPod rumors circling the net appear to be true. At their press conference this morning Apple announced upgrades to the entire iPod line, including the Fatty iPod Nano and an iPod Touch.
The Nano's new, wider screen will now allow you to watch videos, and will cost $149 for 4GB and $199 for 8GB. The iPod Touch seems to be a phone-less version of the iPhone, complete with a Safari browser and net capabilities. It will run $299 for 8GB and $399 for 16GB.
And...the "One More Thing", a Wifi iTunes store. Now you can buy songs and videos directly on your wifi-enabled iPhone Touch.

yes, my next pda!
IMIGAWD! I'm in heaven...hold me down.
I was really hoping they would bust out the touch iPod!! But now I feel like they'll probably just drop the price in a few months...can I wait though??
I'm getting the Ipod Classic...with 160 Gigs. My music is already up to 80 gigs and now I can put all my porn..i mean my videos on my ipod too!!!
I highly recommend the iPhone (although I'm picking up that monster 160 gig beast).
My iPhone highlights:
--Seeing a Kylie Minogue video anywhere.
--Being able to document the current status of my loft decorating project. I regularly take snapshots and e-mail them out to my friends. Last night I documented the unpacking of my Barcelona chairs unpacking (knock-offs of course).
--I ruled an important post-Magic Apparel tradeshow meeting with the iPhone. I presented stuff I saw not just verbally, but with documented (photo examples).
--Texting at a nightclub is addicting because the phone throws out a"Jesus" glow effect.
Jennifer in SF, since the lineup prices are now evenly stepped ($50-$100 difference between each product/product level i.e. iPod classic to iPod touch: $50, iPod touch to iPhone: $100, etc) I would guess that Apple will not adjust the price for at least 6 months, and even if they do, it will not be more than a $50 markdown. So what I'm saying is that if you want an iPod touch, get one now instead of waiting forever for a price drop that may or may not come.
my god -- is there anything those kids at mac can't do? i swear, i just want to grab the entire mac design team and give them kisses on their brilliant little heads.
