Modernica's Chicago Showroom is Closing

We were sad to hear that Modernica's showroom in River North is closing. Modernica has stores in Chicago and LA as well as a website where customers can shop online. Janel reviewed Modernica last year and touched on the issue of their high-quality renditions, which have sparked a heated debate over intellectual property and licensing. We haven't bought anything there, but have stopped in the showroom several times and were always greeted by friendly staff.

Store Closing Sale
Until the store closes (no set date yet), floor model furniture is 25% - 50% off, with the exception of fiberglass chairs and bubble lamps. We stopped by and made notes of a few items that are good deals...

On Sale
• Nelson-style museum bench for $544
• Impala square table for $313
• Eames-style low cabinet for $577
• Eames Replica La Chaise for $1,947 (some scuffs)
• Noguchi Replica Dining Table (48" walnut) for $803
• Case Study Daybed for $1,268

555 Franklin Street
