We wish we'd spotted this in time for Thanksgiving, but this newspaper leaf garland just might work for the rest of the season, too. If you're one who relishes autumn leaves, making some of your own out of reused newspaper is just the way to hold on to them a bit longer than they actually stay on the trees.
You know, we've even convinced ourselves that this could be a wonderful garland on the Christmas tree. We're imagining a whimsical woodsy look. We love the use of newspaper here: the lightweight material would flutter with the slightest movement and the printed black words on white lends this garland a subtle graphic look.

These are lovely!! I'm totally making some for the tree...maybe star shapes?
Heh. If enough people do this, maybe we can save the print industry after all!
These would be nice as snowflakes, too.
I think I might want to cut out holly leaves and roll newsprint into berries to make a garland.
LOVE this idea! Thanks!
