Nice Curves! Sustainable Furniture from Knú

Western Michigan may seem like a pretty remote place to city dwellers, but one furniture firm there has proved, yet again, that great design hides everywhere. We were wowed by the dramatic pieces for both home and office from Knú, a member of the Sustainable Furniture Council.

With many products made of FSC-certified wood, eco-friendly veneers and low-VOC finishes, Knú is introducing original designs into the modern-furniture market, all with an eye on sustainability A couple of years ago, Knú collaborated with Vivavi, a Brooklyn-based modern green-furnishings company, to decorate a model home in the Riverhouse, a 30-plus-story condo tower at One Rockefeller Park in NYC. With them, of course, was the friendly midwestern demeanor we've heard so much about! (Shown: Chimera Dining Set, Jump Desk, Lateral File.)
