We love finding interesting textures in novel places. Real feathers are used in decorating in only the most luxurious of spaces. Feather products like wallpapers and bedding can run in the many thousands of dollars for a single item, not to mention the fact that it's not the most pleasant experience for the animals involved in the process.
Here are some affordable modern options for including feather decor in your home, without the feathers:
1. FLOR Fine Feathers
The easy-to-use carpet squares that allow for all sorts of cool configurations now come in a photographic overscale feather print option by artist Francois Robert.
2. Ferm Living Feather Wallpaper
We never get tired of seeing this versatile new-classic paper which works in all sorts of settings.
3. Peacock Feather Screen-Printed Dishtowels by MichelleBrusegaard on Etsy
Peacock feathers are screen-printed onto absorbent cotton dishtowels for a hint of playfulness in the kitchen.
4. Large Feather Tray by Michael Angove
The artist's nearly photo-realistic illustrations are put on solid birch trays, made in Sweden.
5. Alexander's White Ceramic Feather Tray
This tray is a lovely place to stash rings near the sink, or it even works to hold a spoon in the kitchen.

Well as long as people eat fowl there will be feathers to utilize. Humans have used feathers for hundreds of years no need to get squeamish now.

... wat.

Oh, nvm. Was confused because when it comes to rundowns of accessories I often skip the initial intro (if the items don't themselves, I don't need to be convinced it's something I want).
But I am guessing chicken/turkey/duck feathers are not the prettiest. Well, there are special fancy breeds of chickens, maybe, but I assume those are already expensive.....
