We first saw artist Nick Wroblewski's work at both the Sausalito and Mill Valley art festivals last fall. We were immediately drawn to his booth because we love woodcuts, but we stayed because his prints are just really beautiful.

But woodcuts in particular always interest us for their strong lines and graphic style. Nick's work is mainly inspired by nature, but some of his recent prints suggest he's going in a bit of a more abstract direction - we like it.
It looks like he'll be back through the area again this summer for the festival circuit, so if you like what you see make sure to make a mental note to check him out. Otherwise, you can visit his website here.

Wow! We saw him at a Kansas City art fair a couple of weeks ago and bought two pieces, including one very similar to the bottom image. They're much more beautiful in person with lots of texture that doesn't come through in the photos. I'm so excited to be ahead of AT on something!
Gorgeous work. Looks like he has a web site: www.nickwroblewski.com, for those of us who don't live in the area. (It would've been nice to include that in the main post.)
Thank you for the link!
