For the first day of Escapes Month, we thought we'd share a place that's long been on our list of possible weekend jaunts. Located on Tomales Bay, Nick's Cove is a collection of 1930's bungalows and a roadhouse on State Route 1 that have been recently restored to become relaxed luxury lodging...
A project from local restaurateur Pat Kuleto (others include Farallon, Waterbar, and Jardinière), each little cottage at Nick's Cove
looks as cozy as can be, with original details like wood-burning fireplaces and private decks over the water. We'd love to get a plate of barbecued oysters then settle into one of the rooms before the fog rolls through.
