- What I Love About My Small Home:
- My neighbours who are like family to me! I also love my apartment's fantastic location and great Melbourne City skyline views.
- Biggest Challenge of Living in a Small Space
- Storage, storage and storage! My apartment is a live-work space, so it has to do double duty! Concealing surfboards, golf clubs, office files and equipment is a constant challenge, but it makes you think hard about what you really need!

I love your apartment, it's so modern-chic!
This is my favorite entry so far, by far!
Snazzy! (Especially the bathroom -- way nicer than most apartment baths I have seen in the States!)
Love the cohesiveness of your space. Feels finished, instead of a work-in-progress.
Freaking fantastic!!!!!!
i´m more of a colorful person, but i sure can get used to this lovely place!!!
So sleek and chic! I love that black chair in your living room. The layout is very interesting too.
Love! Love! Love!
I also like colour, but this is so clean and chic. Lovely!
I am in love with your space!
your dining space is my favorite! that table and chairs with the light fixture is perfect, and I love the figure drawings! beautifully done!
I do not care for stripped or dotted walls. I'm more drawn to homes that have more color but this place truly ROCKS.
Question: How do you get any work done on such a small desk in your bedroom/office? It doesn't seem that you can even get a laptop on there since you have such a large printer. It's a printer right?
Wow. Your stripped wall is probably my favorite part of the place. The funny thing is, I don't usually care for it! Love, love, love!!
Beautiful space! Your dining area in particular is a dream!
By far my favourite - just amazing.
Other than that horrible carpeting which you probably have no choice in, everything is shipshape and wonderful.
things i love about the apartment: the wallpaper next to the fridge, the pictures on the wall next to the dining table, and the simple, clean, high kitchen bench.
Love the palette! A winner, for sure! (Too bad the contest doesn't allow for one more shot so that you could show us those skyline views!)
Very nice- but where's the skyline? The high point of your place and you didn't show it?!
Yay, a Melbourne entry!...
I love your artwork collection? What is the one that looks like Lace?
Lovely place, stylish.
What size is the saarinen dining table? Very nice, airy, relaxing and uncluttered home.
Many thanks for all the lovely comments - it has been lots of fun to participate in SmallCool 2012!
LYONSTILL: You are right about the printer in the bedroom - there is also a desk in the living area with a computer on it, that is where I work.
KELLYKAT0 & ANASTASIABEAVERHAUSEN: I wish I could show you one more photo too, the view is fantastic!
CANDYK: the artwork that looks like lace is actually a fabric piece by my mother. It is a japanese patchwork technique that is done with one piece of fabric that is cut and stitched together in pinwheels - it is even more amazing to see in person.
LITTLE LULU: I had the dining table custom made - it is 1m in diameter and is topped with honed carrera marble.
Best of luck to all the participants, the entries this year are amazing! xx
Love your place Nicola! It's not cluttered, not sparse, not filled with "vintage finds" junk and not one annoying "Keep Calm and Carry On" reference. Vote cast!
Oooooohhhh....aaaahhhhhh.....
