A shop for knitters in Wicker Park. Nina sells hard-to-find supplies including super-soft yarn from Blue Sky Alpacas and hand-spun yarns from Ozark. Yarns are displayed in bundles on minimalist shelves, which gives the space a modern vibe. If you're dreaming of knitting yourself a blanket or scarf this winter, you can sign up for classes. 2 two-hour sessions are $50, and it takes just 2 classes to complete a scarf.

Are there any knitters out there who have shopped at Nina?

I work just down the street from this store. I have resisted knitting for soooo many years, but this store really, really makes me want to learn. It's lovely.
I'm a knitter, and I love Nina! It's a bit out of way for me, but I still try to get out there and shop. I really love the vibe of this shop. They stock great/interesting yarns at reasonable prices, and the customer service is top notch.
lovely lovely yarn. I'm not a good knitter but I love buying WAY too expensive yarn and using my fancy needles from here, even if it is just to make my 100th scarf.
I live literally around the corner from Nina, and while I'm still an inexperienced knitter, it's great having this kind of access to everything I might need to make a project. I had come in a few times with a pattern in hand and the staff was very helpful in advising what kind of yarn might be appropriate for it.
The yarns are gorgeous, they've got all the needles and markers and other doodads you could need, and you're definitely getting what you pay for.
