Janel's post on the modern exterior and yard of a country house featured in Domino Magazine reminded us of this project by design firm Claesson Koivisto Rune. (They also made those cool Amazonas Nesting Tables for Offect that everyone loved this year at ICFF.) Although much more minimal than the Domino magazine house, this home takes a similar approach to designing for the countryside, using a modern exterior with bold signage in contrast to the leafy landscape...

Like the Carina Schott home, this house was designed for a family. The natural light and open spaces are organized to make the outdoor setting the home's focal point. The interiors are simple, and the No. 5 motif carries from the outdoors into the home's design scheme.

Working in Stockholm, the team composed of Marten Claesson, Eero Koivisto, and Ola Rune designs everything from homes to interiors to products. For more information, and to see their portfolio, click here.
