Nolan's Gossamer Skies Room

My Room

Name: Nolan (8 weeks)
Location: St. Louis, MO

Nolan's Daddy is a pilot, so the room inspiration started with the hunt for the perfect sky blue color for the walls. We probably tried 20 different shades (who knew there were that many?!) and finally settled on Valspar "Gossamer Sky" - a perfect name for a perfect color.

After that, we added the chair (thrifted for ten dollars) and the fox prints on the wall. I looked for a crib bumper that was breathable and that featured the blue and the peach colors in the wall and the chair, but never did find anything...so I crocheted the bumper. It took forever and when he's done with it, I'll take it apart and use it for a blanket! I used leftover yarn to wrap the letters over his crib. The curtains, quilt and pillow are all home made too. The mobile is pottery barn (we took it apart so one airplane could hang over the chair as well.

Even before he was born, this was my favorite room in the house. It's always bright and happy!

Thanks Kate!
