It's quite lovely - I could see this in the Pottery Barn Catalog retailing for $429.
Agree with bepsf, though I'd like to see a larger shade on it.

Very nice! One shade darker on the stain, and you caould easily reach the $450 level. better yet, offer it in purple and you will be flooded with orders!

The NOMAD Floor Lamp could easily be the new standard in modern medical facilities such as posh rehab centers and high-end retirement communities. The tasteful design and simple lines would also enhance any hotel guest room or guest suite.

I'm not in love with it compared to everyone else it seems. It might be the size of the shade and the style of the base that's throwing me off, I do like the proportions of the body of the lamp, might be interesting with a colored bolt rather than the standard steel. Good work though!

The proportions are a bit wonky (and the shade a bit too retro), but I kind of like it. Again, the price point is a bit much...if you brought a design like this to an actual wood worker, he/she would chuckle at its adorable simplicity, then throw it together in a couple hours and charge a third of the price.
let's get some innovation going people, if this makes it to the finals...this contest is a scam...or this guy is well connected, probably the second one. Lots of new readers for this website. Oh I'm babbling.
