Ask about rugs around San Francisco, and Chris Wahlgren's name will most definitely pop up. Chris is the owner of Nomad Rugs, and his motto is "walk on any art lately?" Upon entering his store, we think that's an understatement. Focusing mostly on rugs from Afghanistan and Pakistan, all of the rugs are naturally dyed and made by hand from small workshops.
Nomad Rugs is about 2,500 square feet, and there are tons of rugs piled on top of each other. If you're in the market for an oriental rug, there is no doubt in our minds that you will be able to find one here.
While digging through a pile, we happened upon these rather sleek-looking contemporary rugs.
