NonDesigns is a Pasadena-based studio specializing in a wide range of products through unconventional solutions. They recently debuted the TOPO series of tables at ICFF in New York this weekend. According to designer Scott Franklin, "We got tired of perfectly flat tables..." so they created a table system that has modular inserts. Placed in on one side, and these inserts form a 3-D plastic mountain-like landscape.
Flip them on the other, and the inverted forms can hold a plant, or any other item, such as fruit, utensils, etc.... We just love the simple dual functionality of the inserts. They also add a touch of fun to a tradtionally "flat" surface.
