We've seen many small closets turned into reading nooks for kids and we're all for it. They're cozy, semi-private and encourage curling up with a good read. The only thing not to like about that is some of us still need our closets! Sherry of Young House Love found a lovely compromise with her daughter Clara's closet makeover.
We first took a gander at Clara's closet in January and especially admired its pretty curtain panel door. Now Sherry has added a Flokati-style rug and pillows to create an inviting reading spot for her little one while still having room to store clothes and shoes. The other change is subtle, but super: potato stamped walls. It gives the closet walls a touch of glam and she only spent pennies doing it.

Shaw's Original Fir...
Love John & Sherry over at YHL and clara's closet is wonderful. I included it (along with many ohdeedoh finds) in my recent mega-round up of reading nooks here:

Cheers!
Cute, but this is not a "small closet". I know because we actually have a small closet, and there is no way there would be room in there for a child plus a wee set of shelves plus a cushion. (Unless maybe you stacked them vertically, but then the child would probably whine, aren't they so hard to please?) THAT'S a "small closet".
