What inspired you to use color? The moment we moved into our rental 3 months ago, I knew we had to do something about the stark white walls, which were cold and impersonal. Luckily, our landlords trusted us to select an appropriate color palette...

...By taking cues from the Mediterranean architectural style of the house and regional color influences, we brought in a palette of warm, rich tones to infuse the rooms with energy. Each space is uniquely-defined based on its function and desired mood, while still retaining a sense of cohesion and flow from one room to the next.

Color Tip: Color is all about context. You must consider the environment carefully - lighting (both natural and artificial), size of space, architectural details, how it relates to other existing colors, contrast (balance of darks and lights, warms and cools), proportions of colors, desired atmosphere, the needs/tastes of those using the space and many, many other factors.

Colors Used: Benjamin Moore Aura paint: Tuscon Red, Bryant Gold, Amber, Golden Grooves
