Rob liked Midwest #11: Lisette's Pied a Terre which is one of the other finalists. He said he really liked the living room because of the sense of color and the nice feeling he got from the natural light. I really liked East #6: Matthew's Gallery even though his entry didn't make it to the next round. I like it when people surround themselves with interesting objects that say something about who they are. I really liked how he styled his living room. The mismatched pillows turned at an angle and the wall of super cool art blew me away.
I for one was inspired by MANY of this years Small Cool entries. I saw so many creative solutions for the problems that small home dwellers are faced with. I want to try to incorporate some of them into my own place. My Biggest thing in our apartment right now are our bathroom and kitchen fixtures. I'd love to change them out but that's not really and option since I rent. So... What's next? As much as the warm grey color in the bedroom has served us well all these years, I think it's time for a change. I want the room to be a little crisper and fresher feeling. Plus I have a bunch of cool ideas for a bed frame. I want to make one that folds out into an additional work surface. As for Rob, I think he's done with the decoratin' thing for now.
