If we had to point a finger at the largest source of incoming clutter in our home it would have to be the mailbox. While we can recycle most of it, reusing it again is always a moot point — that is, until UPS stepped up to the plate in a big way.
UPS has released a new shipping envelope that can be used more than once. How is it that it took them this long to do something so simple? Each envelope is made from 100% recycled fiber with 80% post-consumer content. After the first initial mailing the section of envelope that holds the adhesive strip can be folded down to reveal a fresh one waiting to be used. After you remove the previous shipping label (or put yours on top) you're all set for a second mailing!
So when sending items out that need to be returned you're not only shortening the length of time it takes for them to return it (since they won't have to hunt for an envelope), but also doing your part to use recycled goods. We love the idea since it not only makes sense for the environment, but sense when it comes to the pocketbook and that's always the best combination!
