The Nub chair by Patricia Urquiola is not a brand new design but was being featured at the Andreu World showroom at NeoCon thanks to the addition of a few new options and sizes to the line.
The chairs (and now larger scale bench) are a deft update of classic Windsor seating. The look is fresh and just a touch theatrical, but retains enough straightforward simple good lines to fit into more traditional interiors as well as modern spaces.
Urquiola's design of the Windsor-like posts on back of the chair was supposedly influenced by the bobbin shape that she remembers from childhood sewing lessons with her Grandmother.

I like the larger size but the 'feet' throw me off. I think if they were more the color of the chair, it may 'flow' better.
I'd even go for green or blue but white is just to stark for me.
I love Windsor inspired modern furniture! These are great. I'd love on in my apartment.
Hmm, wondering if a DIY mashup of old wood seat with office chair base would work . . .
Maynelander - I thought the same thing, looks almost like an old wood rocking chair top!
^ I concur! My first thought was 'lovechild of rocking chair and office swivel chair'!
If you take a look at the site, there are different options for the chair's legs.
No. Just, no.
I NUB THIS CHAIR!
