Nursery Show and Tell: Milo Goes Modern

Nursery Show and Tell: Milo Goes Modern

Sep 26, 2006

Nursery Show-and-Tell continues with this great mod nursery from Lori.

She writes: I wanted something bright and cheery and didn't want to go with traditional nursery pastels or primary colors. I fell in love with the robin's egg blue color and it set the tone for the rest of our purchases. [more pics and Lori's sources, after the jump]

My parents offered to buy us a nursery furniture at a large baby superstore. We chose the simplest designs could find. We didn't do much other shopping at traditional baby stores. Most of our other purchases were from shops in the Mission, Ikea or online. I've had the bookshelf since college; we just painted it acid green. We framed the classic Descendents album "Milo Goes to College" for decor. The other painting is a Steve Keene quickie purchased in a bar. I think my favorite item is the mobile with its little black sheep.

Flokati rug and both from PB Teen, but purchased for a fraction of the price on eBay.
• Mexican wrestler doll from
Casa Bonampak in the Mission
Gus & Max crib bedding
• Flenstead black sheep mobile

Lillberg rocker from Ikea

Thanks Lori!
