Inke, and Micah's room has a whole zoo of them...the elephant, the giraffe, monkey and more. They add imagination to a clean and bright room.
We asked Micah's mom, Jen, for some details on the room: What inspired the room? The inspiration for the room was the little stuffed elephant and giraffe (see above) that I got from Etsy, the vintage wall paper animal menagerie that I originally found in a magazine, and the Serena and Lily bedding that I got as a gift (I am friends with Lily).
The dressers were originally in Jen's room, but she refinished them in yellow and added new hardware for a quick transition to Micah's room. The lamps and bookcases were also a part of their home pre-baby. Jen told us where she got the rest of the accessories/furnishings: I ordered the daybed off Ebay and the bedding on it is from Garnet hill. The Ugly Dolls were gifts. The stuffed giraffe, elephant, and hippo are Dwell and were off my registry on Giggle as was the egg night light. The mobile is Tiny Love and was a hand me down. I found the vintage wallpaper animal menagerie at Lavish in San Francisco.
What is your favorite part of the room? I really love how it all turned out. The bedding is amazing (nicer then any bedding I have ever slept on), I love the wallpaper menagerie. The Biblical saying over his changing table comes from the book of Micah and was read at his bris and given to us by his grandparents (his name is Micah) and the picture of the toddler on the tricycle is of his father and was taken by his grandfather. I love the photo because it is so classic 70's. I also love his playpen/fort. He loves to lay in it and watch the mobile and the lights. We love the photo of Micah's dad on his tricycle. What a great way to add some personality and fun to a room. Thanks Jen!
