Dear AT,
I have a bricked up window in my bedroom that still has the metal window frame around it (so I can’t really cut down the frame to make the wall flush.)
Any ideas?
Should I embrace the feature and highlight it or put up a shallow wall segment extending out from the corner to hide it?

You could put up a decorative screen to hide it and use the corner as an area for storage of winter clothes, extra toilet paper, cleaning supplies, whatever!
Its kind of hard to tell from the photo, but is there space to put up tiny shelves? You could "embrace it" and display little knick-knacks or pictures.
I don't understand. It looks like there's a mirror inside? Can we get a better picture?
It is difficult to tell from the photo, but I agree with rvalexa, I think a series of shelves would be a nice touch. If you did want to cover it up, I'm not sure I'd go with a screen... maybe a very simple window treatment like a roller shade.

It does look like it has a recess in it. I agree with the shelves or a nice tall sculpture inside and maybe a little light at the top.
On a second look I guess that's a mirror in the middle. If that's the case I would enhance the frame.

I would treat the wall frame like a picture frame. Put art or a photograph inside it and paint the frame to look like a real picture frame.
How about making it a window again? You can never have too many windows.

If that mirror is removable, get creative and put a painting there of what you would see if there was a window there.
embrace it. a mirror as large as the window opening with the molding as frame or paint the opening/frame to highlight your existing mirror. the current mirror is stuck in between.

use it! anything weird in a home that can be featured adds character. i have a cubby in my apt that was meant for a landline phone. here's what i did.

i used a postcard invite to a friend's gallery show. an old juice glass. a drumstick from a concert in my punk, teen years. & some ikea tealights. also, i will be painting the main wall a diff color to frame the odd area.
so, i hope that gives you some ideas. think reveal, not conceal. ;)
