Hello AT,
Where can I find these overhead light?
I am looking for an inexpensive ceiling light, which needs to cast light down (not up) and be relatively inexpensive.
This photo is from Dwell magazine of an Irish home, but there is no credit.
Thanks! Lj

Shaw's Original Fir...
Try ikea: SEPTIM, MORGON, LYRA, and MELODI are all downwards casting lights in the under 30 dollar range. Those look like the old Cath Kidston lamps that were enameled, but I don't think they carry them anymore.
Try PBTeen.com
Yes, I as well think it's IKEA. you can even spray paint them in a fun shiny color if you don't like the metallic silver that it comes in.
they're on sale at pbteen for 29.99/ea! :)

I don't have an answer to your question, but just wanted to thank you for reminding me about this Dwell feature. I loved this home... one of my favourites because it stood out so much from the overly slick houses Dwell has been featuring for the last while. I'm going to go find that issue and look up this home.
You can buy industrial metal shades at home depot or a lighting store and make it look yourself too.
thanks for all the advice- can I use regular spray paint if I buy aluminum ones?
