NY Good Questions: Similar IKEA Hanna Linje Curtains?

I bought seemingly the last package of the red IKEA Hanna Linje curtains.

They go really well with my bedroom, and I was waiting patiently (and even called!) for them to come back in stock, and then they got discontinued.

I have two more windows in my bedroom to cover!

I tried Ikea's Customer Relations and they couldn't help me. Is there any help for me? Thanks! Kathleen

there is always a ton of Ikea stuff on ebay.

I hate when this happens. But yeah, as lorijo says, eBay (none right now--I checked for you). Also, a long shot that sometimes comes through miraculously is Yahoo's Freecycle group.

If all fails, you might get other curtains for all your windows and make a duvet cover or bunch o' pillows out of these red ones that look good in your bedroom. . . .

If only a short time has elapsed between your buying the curtains and their being discontinued, you can call around to other Ikea stores and see if they have them in stock and will send them to you. I tracked down a rug that way.

Sorry to be a defeatist, but I'd give up. Move on to other curtains! Ikea's like a fun but unreliable boyfriend--it'll break your heart if you depend on it for anything. Even if the curtains weren't discontinued, you'd never get them. I tried for months to get a certain bookcase and a certain type of curtains, and they never came in to either of the Ikeas near DC.

You could always do a saved search on eBay and also put out an eBay "Want it Now" post.

ikeafans are the best---they will be able to help you!

try the canadian ikea? sometimes they're on a different timetable wtih discontinued stuff, it seems.

i'm so sorry, i think i was wrong and found a different version than what you're looking for. sorry to have gotten your hopes up.

Know anyone in San Diego or LA who could pick them up? They have them in stock at the Burbank and San Diego IKEAs (the website lets you check availability at each location...I only tried a few spots but it might be worth surfing each location if you need them!)

i saw a bunch today at the IKEA round rock (TX).

As this is an old thread, don't know if you still need this item, but I just saw one on ebay this morning.

Not sure if you ever found these curtains but I have a pack with 2 panels! Please let me know if you are interested. I was going to put them on Ebay but I will wait a couple of days to hear back from you.
