Hello AT,
I've fallen in love with the faux antler photos in the attached
photo.
Any idea where I could find something similar?
I found the antlers from Thom Filicia's portfolio
Thanks! Cat

West Elm has the non-candle antlers. But try VivaTerra for candleholders.
dear rich people who have money to waste on such strange things as "faux antlers" and call it fashion and will pay for it. i can find you some REAL antlers in the woods and paint them white and sell them to you.
tzveyah - Hmm....I wonder where you'll find real antlers in the woods without having to kill an animal for them?
Cat - Looks like this site has them in black but not sure where you could get the white ones in the photo. Maybe you can just spray paint them. =)

So do it. When you set up an e-commerce site, call us back.
I'm sure you indulge in some purchases others might find strange or wasteful.

Antlers are indeed naturally shed, yes. Of course, you can also get them the way you describe.
I'm pretty sure those are from (to the trade) fabulous vendor, Roost.
Target had some over Christmas! Roost at Velocity has two sizes in a polished and a dull bronze finish from $44 or so. I can't find any white, but the polished ones look pretty nice.
And I don't think having $50 to spend on an accessory you love makes you rich! I'm ambivalent at best about the fake antler thing, but that's another issue.
whether real or faux Antlers are one of those things that should be left in the wild. These candle-holders creep me out, I'm always reminded of "the Thing" in The Munsters.
I like them. I think they're nicely sculptural. The antler thing may be a just-past-its prime trend right now, but in five years this piece will just be kooky and fun.
(Full disclosure: I have a pair of dull bronze antler candalabras and I love them.)
west elm for sure--think they are on sale too!
The West Elm ones are called 'Branch' and are more abstract, not so 'antlery'. But maybe that's a good thing, and they are only $9.99 now.
Vivaterra.com has them in candlestick form. Almost exact match.
Thanks all for your suggestions!
tzveyah, if you can find me some antlers in thew woods and spray paint them for me I'll gladly buy them off of you ;)
I bought a pair of stainless ones from Living on 7th Ave in Park Slope (yeah, yeah, yeah -- and I'm a freelancer.) They're a gift for a relative of mine with an antler fetish. Hard a f*ck to wrap so I haven't sent them off. Real nice. Label says 'Roost' -- whomever they are.
Matter in Park Slope, Brooklyn has antler sconces and chandeliers. Maybe they have these too?

West Elm has the non-candle antlers, and the non-antler candleholders. If that makes sense.
And for those liking the Matter electrified antler stuff, or the Esque glass versions from Velocity, both are available through Designlush in the NYDC. (full disclosure: I work there part time.)
This antler thing was a great idea, but it's been so overused that your room will become dated. I love them too, but trust me, skip them.
I saw very similar silver ones at calypso home.
