Dear AT,
I got new doors and can't decide between two styles of Omnia stainless steel levers.
I like a simple modern look, with smooth lines.
What do you recommend, #10 or #32?
Thanks! Pat

I think both look too commercial (IMHO)
They both look institutional to me - especially #10.
Why not look at a Schlage Jazz, Manhattan or Merano?
(Various finishes are available)

i actually like #10.
I purchased updated my door handles recently to something similar and it really upgraded the look of my inexpensive standard doors.
Go for #10.
In the right setting, not too commercial at all.
My personal preference is #32.
Since you say you like a simple modern look with smooth lines, I think that of the two #32 better meets those criteria and would be more fitting.
32
#32!!!
I think #10 looks like it might be nicer to actually touch and use, but I like the look of #32 best.
#32 is clean with just the right amount of detail. Nice job!
I agree; they look like handles you'd see in a hospital or office building. Of the 2, I like #32, but I don't think it's the right style for the door. :/
I would pick #32 (agree with above comments -- the other one looks like something on a public bathroom door)
I don't really think this is a good question though. I mean, just pick one.
People must not be submitting questions much these days...
32
#32 for sure. #10 looks like the stock handle that comes on most commercial doors.
I like the simplicity, clean lines and affordability of the modern Omnia levers and have been planning to get some myself as we launch into the remodel of our recently purchased modern house. When I was researching door hardware, I wasn't too fond of the curved end of the #10 and I didn't really like the busy-ness of the #32, so I opted for a middle ground that I think marries the best design cues of both options: http://www.handlesets.com/index.cfm?page=product:display&productid=368PA&manufacturer=Omnia&categoryID=685. Good luck!
#32 has my vote! :)
You're showing us a room with red walls with kind of a busy amount of paintings on them, although they're vaguely modern versions of landscapes.
AND the arm on that sofa is kind of curled, so ... if that is YOUR room and not just a stock photo of a door you found somewhere, I'd say that neither of them look compatable with your decor, but of the two, the only-barely-slightly-more-traditional one (and that's a stretch) #10 would be the answer.
Hope this helps.
10
I like the 11 or the 43.
Of the two you posted, I like the 10...
BUT, with the doors you posted, I like the 32. The paneled doors call out for a bit of detail in the handle.
I'm with bepsf; go with something that looks less institutional. I personally would skip a lever handle, but I have a toddler to consider.
#32
rather than #10, which really, really commercial looking. although i think their best one is actually #43. it's more refined in proportion, is very clean and modern, and is quiet enough not to clash so much with traditional decor.
32!
#32
I'm all about doorknobs, and not levers.
My cats figured out how to open lever doors in about 30 minutes in the temporarily rental we had while moving cross country. In the two months we lived there, I don't think I was ever able to use the bathroom alone.
I like the look of #32, but #10 fits your door style better.
32!
number 43, but in your case, judging by the furniture in your room, I would go with a contemporary glass door knob... something like this:

or this

or this

these are the ones we picked for our home:

#32 ... love that one!
#10 - your clothes are less likely to get caught on the handle.
32, its a bit different and the lines will look better with the angular door. Lucky you!
32
10. Hate the trickiness of 32.
#10
10
32! (10 looks like the handle on our bathroom door at work)
#10 if you live in a hospital or mental ward, otherwise, #32 is the preferred one.
32
32, if one must choose.
#10 for its simplicity (doesn't say "mental ward" to me at all but the again I'm in Europe somaybe we're used to different kinds of door handles).
I like #11 which another commenter suggested the most though.
Out of these two? I'd say #10 for sure (don't like 32 at ALL).
But I would go with #11 or the similar #12 instead.
I like #11 or #12. But out of these two I'd go for #32 .
hi all !
If you are looking for modern and contemporary door hardware
For any kind of modern home, our contemporary door handles made from stainless steel, will look great. Our contemporary door handles are available in many different shapes, round or square roses, and can fit very thick doors, which is a great point, since stainless steel door handles are always hard to find for 2" more thick doors.
