Does anyone use a gel pad or rug in their kitchen? I've been thinking about purchasing one (my floors are tile over poured concrete), but would like some feedback from current users.
Good and bad experiences, brand recs, etc - all info appreciated.
Does anyone know where I might find a floor lamp similar to the Kane lamp from CB2 (http://www.cb2.com/family.aspx?c=120&f=3484&q=kane&fromLocation=Search&DIMID=400001&SearchPage=1) in the same price range (or at least less than $200)? I don't like the shade fabric and I'd rather not have to buy a separate shade to replace it.
Thanks!
I'm searching for a bath tub screen - either fixed or hinged.
Something like these:

Where in NYC can I buy one?
Thanks!
moira, I believe that there was a discussion of these mats on AT within the last 6 months or so.

Jon_B, you're a peach. Thanks very much!
Lexipup, that vendor looks perfect. Thanks so much! Beautiful job on the reno. That little tiled nook is sweet.
Moira,
Restaurant Equippers (www.equippers.com) has inexpensive mats (and lots of other good deals...

I'm going to be moving to NY in the next couple of months and in this process I have discovered the "application fee" which in other housing markets consists of a couple more bucks than it costs to do a credit search, but in NY seems to be quite a bit more. I'm being asked to pony up $500 for the honour of trying to rent this place. Is this normal? Should I negotiate? Should I try to get it folded into my deposit? Am I just hopelessly naive?
Also, I'm excited to be joining your community in a more local way; I've been listening in from Philly for a while now. Hi.
Lexipup, i am in love with your bathroom.
Does anyone know where I can find this towel rack that doesnt cost, like more than all my towels put together? Thanks!!
