If high-tech-looking industrial desk lamps are your things, you can't do much better than the Artemide Tizio X30 Desk Lamp. It's sleek and shiny, made with an aluminum base, chrome arms and counter-weights made of zinc alloy.

It's in perfect working condition and at 1/2 off the retail price. Another bright point of interest: the lamp is designed by Richard Sapper and was a winner of the Compasso d'Oro in 1989. It's now a part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art.
