From Wig3000 - "I cleaned our fridge coils today and it was nasty. The screws and grill that cover the coils on our KitchenAid Superba are hard to manipulate. Payoffs for clean coils include lower utility bills, less impact on the environment, and a longer life for the appliance."
It's a really sunny Saturday morning here and we're looking forward to doing the first step of a deep clean by throwing out as much stuff as we can today! Please remember - ALL OF YOU - that no matter what you've accomplished, a lot or a little or nothing, that it is best if you give us all an UPDATE each week. So don't disappear; update us and keep your feet moving, even if it only means buying flowers.
For Alana - Most paint stores can mix another brands color combination in the brands they have in stock. In other words, at the Benjamin Moore store, they'll look up and mix me a Ralph Lauren color in BM just by looking up the recipe or color conversion chart. So, if you love a color in another brand, ask for it at your store and see if they'll mix it up for you in the brand that they have. That said, a favorite deep red of mine is Rembrandt Red by Fine Paints, which comes in a deep, thick oil enamel.

This Week's Assignment: Now we tread deeper into the thick of it. In the Deep Treatment you are going think about COLOR and focus on the hallway, an area that is too easily overlooked and extremely important for the health of your home. Building a Landing Strip will help you filter the outside word, keeping your home calm and cutting down on your junk mail will give you back years of life. Enjoy putting together an invitation for week 8's gathering!...
The One Room Workout you are going to deepen your research online, get COLOR and begin to call in help. When looking for resources online, don't forget that AT.com was originally designed to provide listings to stores, services and products in it's GUIDE. If you are having trouble finding something, send in the question to your nearest AT site.
Sidstiles is deciding on fabric for this chair. I love the fabric, but a lightweight ain't so good for something you sit on regularly. As Lady J says, one conversation with a fabric shop would solve this.
Rununculus and IKEA watering can vase courtesy of Suziegoombs, who finished her kitchen - Yay! - and was getting pumped up for this week.
Laren is in Crazy Painting Hell scheduled to have been done yesterday! How is it going, Laren?
Jodi McKee is getting updated here. I particularly like the way she has separated her living area from her workspace with those open shelves. Very nice.
