That house in Lubbock is about 5 blocks from my parents house. Thrilled to see my hometown in House & Garden.
I was born & raised in Lubbock, as well. But I don't think I've ever seen that house before... It seems like I would notice something neat like that.
I noticed the mention that Stainless Steel finish appliances are now over. I think in "currents". A possibility we discussed here a few months back. I'm not sure I favor the "bronze" look. Other opinions on what should replace "stainless steel" in the kitchen.

I like the look of that bronze, perhaps. It's warm. I'd like to see it in person too. I am considering using some steel pipe as a decorative element outside, and letting it age to a rusted patina, maybe this would tie things together.
I love the corrugated house. But Lubbock? Poor things living in the buckle of the bible belt.
I loved the corrugated house and the story about Yoko Ono's ex (or whatever he was) and wished there were more picture of both places. I haven't finished the rest of the section completely, but this week was great, as it's been lately. Why don't we get to vote anymore?

That's that mysterious place i was born in but moved out after 9 months...this article was my first glimpse of what 'Lubbock' was/is, and i'm glad it was found in a design article.
Raised in 'the O.C.' and transplanted to NYC 6 years ago.. maybe you guys can give me more info about Lubbock (it's in the buckle of the bible belt??) and give me something to be proud of..
Lubbock is a pretty conservative place. (I've lived there all my life just until about eight months ago.) It was voted the second most conservative city in the United States last year.
