Time Beginning: 21 days old
W O W, we love our new chairs. Our Cherner side chairs just arrived, allowing us to take out our old Thonet chairs (which we also love, but they are not part of this chapter here on Bedford Street). While many of you voted for the Camogli Chair a number of months back, we went this direction for less money, shorter lead time and more color and couldn't be happier. These Cherner classics are super comfortable, joyful and slip into our space without taking up any room.

On other fronts, after breathing a collective sigh and feeling such great joy at moving back in, it is now time to deal with the punch list. Our kitchen is in great working order, but we needed to solve the problem of how to hang the floating shelves (which are really heavy) and how to repair our Durat countertop, which had too large an opening for the cooktop and needs one seam repaired. Luckily, Durat is such a workable material we are told we can repair on site and do not need to order a whole new piece.
This weekend we are getting back into the swing of things and doing some more nesting (painting the floor in the bedroom, mounting the medicine cabinet, etc) and I promise pics of all this on Monday.
But did I say that there is no joy like moving back into a newly renovated apartment? OMG, there is no joy quite like it...
Lovely!
We hope to experience the joys (ha!) of renovation soon, and are looking for a place that will take a couple of humans and a couple of cats while we have to vacate our abode.
Congratulations! Those chairs are beautiful.
Well, I love the red, even though I was a champion of the Camogli!
So how do you like the Durat? What colour is it? We came sooo close to getting a Durat sink for the bathroom, but it really came down to the long lead time.
And what does Miss Ursula think of all this? (hope she figures prominently in the next update and pictures!)
As for us, the completed bathrooms seem an eternity away (if we line the shower with the back-painted glass panels, the first bathroom is at least 5 weeks away), whereas the baby will be here in 2 weeks, tops.
The chairs look great.
More importantly: how did your kitchen turn out? Any more complications? Anything smoother than expected? My cabinets are slated to arrive 11/30, and I am in talks with Anhony Riccio about installing them.
Did you guys end up getting that gorgeous round table you featured in one of the posts? Is that the table that's covered?
Chairs look great, so do the floors. I'm so happy the 9 mo cure posts are back. I hope little Ursula is also having a great time adjusting...

Great chairs. I love the color and the style.
I,m so glad you posted as I was wondering how you were doing now that you are "three".
I look forward to seeing the updated photo's but don't forget to save time to enjoy all the changes in your life.
I wish you all the best.

Those are great chairs. I really love them and even so the color. Do you know if the color is dyed? or painted/clearcoat? I love the fact that the plywood is thicker on the neck of the back. Is that a Tolomeo mini or micro? I think I'm going to buy two micros on the Artemide sale... Great taste my friend.
Love the chairs. Am obsessed with your re-do. Can't wait for next installment.
Wow, just checked on the Artemide sale - 2 for the price of 1 and a half. Too bad...don't feel like I can shell out the bucks for even the first one. I've been wanting one of the Tolomeo reading floor lamps for a while, but will probably end up with Target or IKEA. Other home expenses come first.
Punch lists are such a pain -- the last 10% expands to amazing proportions -- but it'll be more fun now that you've been distracted by other events for a few weeks.
PROTEIN!
Those chairs are GORGEOUS. They look like gingko leaves. beautiful shape.
