This is the first in a new series of Gallery Kitchen appliances by LG Electronics. It is a refrigerator with an exterior printed in flower designs by artist Ha Sang-rim. I remember the old refrigerator my father bought for his workshop one weekend when my mother was out of town. He brought it home with packages of stickers and had my brother and I decorate the exterior to pretty it up. Of course, LG's decorated fridge is leagues above those efforts. While I wouldn't rely on it to, as LG says, "transform any space into something artistic", this fridge could contribute to an already lively kitchen. The cost: about 30% more than the same model without the print. If the cost isn't justifiable, maybe the idea is worthy of inspiring some DIY action?

Oh....this is so beautiful! I've been trying to come up with DIY ideas of my own and this is certainly inspiring. My last effort was in college where I drank WAY too much wine and attacked our olive-green Salvation Army fridge with a box full of poster paints. Next morning: Striped orange fridge! Wish I had pictures, it was pretty interesting. Til the paint started flaking off.....
This is lovely. It might help keep the fridge clean...for a while...but then I'd just have to put that slip of paper with the phone number on it somewhere, and out will come the frdge magnet...and then there's the pay slip I musn't misplace cause I'll have to get it adjusted, and then the kids' art work, the garbage schedule, the fitness schedule, etc. Where do you put that stuff if not the fridge? It is such a useful vertical space!
I like the look of the refrigerator. I think it's a nice look especially for those who prefer to keep their kitchen appliances clutter free....coming from a house with no children..of course! If my dogs did any artwork I would probably hang it up!!
