While we think the size would be successful in urban American markets, the prize is too high — ¥79800 (over $800!) — to be competitive. Still, a fun find!

I can't imagine using this Dyson in a truly small Japanese apartment --say 9 mats or so. In my own smallish Manhattan apartment, I am very satisfied with my little green cordless Shark.

It IS a little overpriced....regardless of size.

Japan is overpriced in general, and the media wonders why the Japanese aren't shopping their way out of the slump. I bought one very similar in Hong Kong for about US$100. Works really well picking up all the errant cat hair.

I have a big Dyson, "Animal" model, and it's the best vacuum I have ever used -- a tiny one would be great for stairs, etc. (Mine was about $700, as I recall.)
