Arch Digest Show: DucDuc & Carini Lang

Catching up with some of the really nice things we saw at The Architectural Digest Show last month: DucDuc and Carini Lang.

Looking like a glider for an airline pilot, this hot Duc Duc rocker does allow you to nod off against the headrest.

With a bit more downtown chic, this rocker will please your inner architect.

New from Carini Lang, bright color and greater imagery are coming back into fashion after the long Tibetan rule.

Closeup of above: all silk rugs are not only soft, they catch the light in a much more complex way.

That DucDuc stuff made me want to have kids.

So my offer still stands... anybody need a nursery designed!??!

I'm not fond of the rockers but I'd like to wrap myself in one of the rugs, preferably the flowered one, and have a party. Quite, quite luscious.

I just went through the Carini Lang website (as opposed to falling in love with the rugs above). It isn't fair to have us on an 8 week mission to clean, repair, and rethink our apartments/homes and then show us carpeting that is this grand. :)

Now I'm in love with Camilla Blue whatever it is rug. Forget the flowers. This is the color I've been looking for. Now I know I need to have a party. Maxwell, thank you.

YEAH, BABY!

Oh, you said "peonies."

Never mind.

p(too)'s nursery design offer is *almost* enough to make me overcome my unwillingness to produce children. Almost.

Does anyone else think those rockers are very 80's/early 90's?

Wren?
yes.

and not in a good way

whatever *that* would look like

dear me, i love that carpet. the website requires a faxed request before you can see current designs? ok. i can only afford places that are eager to show their wares and tell me they only cost 19.99.

the background color for the flowers is actually close to the original color of my walls (which sun and a leaking roof have turned a sweeter, pastellier color).

ps. p2, unkind observers have suggested quite the opposite interpretation of an interest in peonies and painting my walls a salmony pink!

rasil--
Ha!

For the record, there was other stuff at Duc Duc I liked better than the rockers. But all of it together was great.

The carpets are breathtaking. Silk - must be about the price that a condo ought to cost.

Do not buy from Duc Duc. Their national sales manager has repeatedly lied to me directly regarding the ship date for my order - which was placed in October. My ship date has changed 6 times since early January. Twice in the last 3 weeks i have been told my order is packaged and ready to go only to then be told a week later, that, no, in fact, the order has not shipped. Check the other modern nursery suppliers first.
