Antique Lithographs of Hindu Gods and Goddesses

Saw this at the yoga shala, and thought it was a good tip for hardcore yogis and India-philes. These prints are antique lithographs from around the 1890's and 1930's, are going for $40 to $400 and being sold by some fun and funky folks who write good copy (see below). Here's the copy we liked (if you can't read it):

"Act now! Call today! You snooze, you lose! Operators are standing by!!!" and "Old prints in good condition are rare in India. Our prices are about the same as in Bombay! The only way you could find these prints for any less is if you went to India and travelled to the middle of nowhere looking for them! (Actually, that's what we do and it's fun but it's not for everyone and don't forget the ticket's going to cost you $1200!)

Wow, we live in an amazing time - I made a handful of these posters and posted them in yoga centers several months ago, and a few minutes ago received a call from a very nice woman inquiring about the Hindu God Prints "advertised" on apartmenttherapy.com. Thank you Maxwell (whoever you are) for putting this online. Actually the timing is perfect - just last Wednesday my wife and I returned from 5 weeks in India and we brought back some truly amazing new prints (that is, new OLD prints). For anyone interested, we're in the West Village, corner of Hudson & Leroy, and we'd love to have you come by and see them, and have a cup of chai (I think I've learned how to make it on this trip).
