Oooh, shiny. This is really beautiful work: bejeweled, encrusted panels. This is the work of artist Brit Hammer, a former NYC resident. She now lives and works in Rotterdam.
Her work combines tiny pieces of handmade Murano and Venitian glass to create colorful, textural, glittery works of art. She also creates glass architectural installations using a wide range of techniques, for both commercial and residential applications.
More photos after the jump.

How beautiful. I feel in love with mosaic art and furniture while living in NYC. There isn't enough of it in the rest of the US. I can never figure out why. I'm glad to see Brit Hammer using the medium in such a creative way.
