Dodi Wexler at Pavel Zoubok

2004_9_9_dodi1.jpg
Obsessive compulsive? Our friend, Dodi Wexler, slipped into town this week for her opening at Pavel Zoubok (Opens Friday - 533 West 23rd Street), and the first we heard of it was over at Cool Hunting, where Josh Rubin was already giving her the thumbs up:

It would seem to me that Dodi Wexler is a bit obsessive compulsive. The intricacy of her work must demand more attention than a needy puppy.... her process yields incredible collage that is to be appreciated both up close and from a distance. She combines all sorts of materials to create visually rich and almost narrative pieces of rather large scale. If you can, you must see this stuff in person.

He's said it all. Run, don't walk. (via Josh Rubin) MGR
