DPC Prints

We never thought it would come to this, but we've had a few clients who are looking for really affordable photos for their apartment, and the only place to turn is to a place like DPC Prints.

DPC Prints is on online shop that sells well done, glossy and matte photographs of landscapes, airplanes, sports, flowers, you name it, they've got it. They are HUGE. Prints can come in many sizes (from 4"x6" to 16"x24") and are extremely affordable (@ $8-$40). (Thanks, Leslie!)

Leslie says: For really cheap original photos, there are some lovely ones at DPC Prints. (There are also a lot of awful ones, so you do have to spend quite a bit of time browsing.) I framed a large black-and-white one that I bought from them last year, and everyone always asks where I got it.

Great tip! There are some really nice images on the website. And these prices are unbelievable...

I once saw a home design show where they recommended framing images from a calendar or book, but the paper quality doesn't compare to prints like this - good tip! I would recommend 1) searching under "Abstract;" 2) grouping several images together by subject matter, color, etc. so the focus is less on any one image and more on the collage you created yourself - it's a great way to fill a lot of wall space!

I'm turned off by the "We never thought it would come to this" snobbery. If you only want rich people to read your blog, that's a good way to alienate the rest of us...

Oh good God, people -- go TAKE some 'cheap' photos. Everywhere is beautiful and anyone can do it. Have fun.
